DiscussionPlease leave your note to the author here. Click and type in a question or comment I have decided to read your book Violette's Embrace again instead of moving on to either La Batarde or my favorite, In the Prison of Her Skin. I am so touched by your relationship with Lili, the love that the two of you share in your appreciation of Ms Leduc, and the interweaving of stories from all three of your lives. I also find this book seeming quite cinematic. I know it was written a while ago but was there ever interest in making a film of it? Also, if you have time, can you tell me what happened to Lili since the book was written? I am looking forward to the arrival of a copy of Broken Colors. Thanks, Rane Richardson, ranecal@aol.com I am so thankful to you for your book Violette's Embrace. I read all her books in the 1970s and decided to start over again this year (2010) but instead I picked up your book first and am treasuring it. It makes me happy to even look at it. Now at age 60, I have looked back at all the years of books read and realized how much Leduc has resonated and stayed with me. Your book is a jewel I am loving. Thank you, Rane Richardson, Albuquerque. I have read your information in Einstein. I was in Hammersmith Hospital in March 1963. I was 7 years old and used to speak to a young girl who suffered from Anorexia. I had to be moved to an adult ward to avoid infection and was visited again by this girl who threatened not to eat until she saw me because she thought they were lying about my health and she feared I may have died. I was told that this was Einsteins Grand Daughter. Is there any possibility this could be true? Regards Barry Butler barry.butler@holidayownersclub.co.uk Are you Michele from Dominguez? We're trying to locate classmates for our 50th Reunion to be held next October. If you are Michele - wow - how very successful you are, but that's not a surprise! Linda Atwood - to2lindalu@aol.com |
